101 Days Until the Due Date!!!

This week has brought big changes in the pregnancy - I have felt the little guy moving around everyday for the past couple of days!! I know that's what he's supposed to do, but I don't think I expected it SO much! He pushes and dances all around in there! I told Jon that I think Jackson has a set of drums in there and is dancing to his own beats! Lol!!!  Every week brings a new realization that Jon and I (and Comet) aren't the only ones that make up our family now.

The countdown is on!! I can't wait to see my little baby boy!!

Nursery Rhymes and Designs!!!

So, due to some technical diffuculties (computer has lost it's mind and is currently un-usable) I'm a bit behind in some of the things I've been wanting to post.  This also means that I am unable to share any photos that have been taken in the past few weeks.  But, we have been working on Jackson's room and I thought that I would share some of the ideas and inspirations for now and post actual pictures in the next week or so!

This is the paint color that we chose - Behr Serene Sky.  At first I thought it was to bright, but over the past week it has grown on me and I think with some wall art and furniture it will make a wonderful little boys room!

Behr Serene Sky
We plan on getting white furniture, although that could change as soon as we find some thing that we like! I am really loving this type of shelving, I think it's great for extra storage, toys and books and we will be getting something very similar!

This is the bedding collection that we've chosen! I love owls and the patchwork-like leaves on the tree!

There are tons of cute accessories to go with the bedding - pillows, bookends, crib toys, and other little plushy animals. Also, there is this adorable playmat!

So, as soon as my computer is feeling better, I will post actual pics of the room redo!! I can't believe that we're heading into the sixth month of pregnancy!!! Time is flying by and we have a lot to do!!!

20 Weeks and It's a Baby...

BOY!!!
Well, technically halfway through the pregnancy and we FINALLY got see the little one!!! Everyone had been saying that it was a boy and we only had a boys name picked out, so it wasn't too shocking when she told us that it was actually a boy.  It's strange how you just know these things...

I can't begin to describe what it was like to see him moving around...I know that I've been carrying this baby around for 5 months but, seeing him reach for his toes and stretch his tiny arms out - well, it's a feeling that I want to have all the time.  The love that I have for him became so real.

Look at him stretching his little arm!

This is one of my favorite photos.
His tiny feet and they're backwards because he was sitting with his legs crossed!

Now it's time to start making our home, his home too!!! I'm so excited for baby furniture, bedding, and decorating - not too sure how Jon's going feel about all of that! LOL!!!

A Brief History of Our Family!

During our 12 year relationship (so far), Jon and I have had quite a few experiences together.
We met in our junior year of high school and had an interesting start to our relationship, needless to say we made it through high school as a couple.

Over the next few years we really grew up and grew together.  At some point, although it eludes me when, we became adults.
We bought a house and have spent the past 4 years turning it into our home (this is when I should have started this blog, but we can catch up on all that excitement another time!).
Someday this little fixer-upper will be my perfect, quaint, shabby chic, cozy home. We're getting there, I swear.

We started adding to our family with the adoption of the most beautiful German Shepherd Dog that you have ever seen. Comet.
Isn't he gorgeous?
Jon proposed Christmas morning, 2007. Our first Christmas in our house. He was so nervous, I was so excited and will never forget that moment.
We were married May 2, 2009.  It was an unforgetable day.  So magical and filled with joy.
I will remember every smile, tear, laugh, kiss and hug from that day.

And now, a new chapter in our family story begins. Jonathan and I are pregnant! I am 15 weeks and we are expecting Baby Herald to arrive September 23, 2011!!
