Last time I posted anything I was at 39 weeks, well, at 40 weeks nothing was happening! My doctor scheduled an induction for September 28, 2011 (five days after the due date). It was so exciting to know that he was actually coming, on a specific day - no waiting and wondering - AND NO MORE BEING PREGNANT!!! Don't get me wrong, I didn't mind being pregnant, but, I did NOT love it! I/we were ready for Jacksons arrival, more than you would know.
We went into the hospital tuesday night and wednesday morning (with Jonathan and my younger sister, Becky by my side) at 10:03 a.m., Jackson Richard made his long awaited appearance.
Jackson was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 20 inches long. I'm not really sure how all that fit into my belly!!
Jonathan was so excited, I think actually seeing the baby made it "real" for him.
In the first week little Jackson has had a lot of visitors! Grandmas, Grandpas, Pop, Aunt Becky, Uncle Nick, Great-grandma & grandpa, his cousins Graysen and Alana, "Uncle" Luke, "Aunt" Laura, Jesse & Kaelyn, Nikki and Tony, and Jake!!! So much love has been shown to this little guy that it's unbelieveable!
We've also had his first (and second) doctors appointments. Nothing serious, just weight checks...but, rather interesting. At the second appointment, Jonathan didn't put his diaper on tight enough and Jackson ended up peeing on his own little head!!! Too funny!
We also have given a few baths. He does not care for bath time - at all.
These first 11 days have been quite an experience and a HUGE change in our lives! But, I think we're getting the hang of it...and we're LOVING every minute of it!

39 Weeks
So at 39 weeks the fall weather is coming in quick. I LOVE IT! The weather this summer was unbearable and when you're developing a little human inside of you, it's just that much hotter!!!
The change of season seems like just the right time to bring a little bit (or a lot) of change into our lives. If only this baby would decide that he's ready to come. As of last week he wasn't ready. At all. The doctor says he'll come when he's ready, or at 41 weeks when we decide that he's ready.
